-

-
In the current history panel on the right, Click the upper right icon (wheel) to display the action menu
-
Click the very last item "Export History to File"
-
Galaxy will create a link to download the history (This may take some time).
This is the link that will be used to import this history later.
Copy the link location in your clipboard to use later. -
IMPORTANT NOTE 1: When exporting a large history, you have to make sure you have enough space in your GenAP Workspace. The creation of the history archive for export will use additional space at least as much as the history size. NOT enogh storage in your GenAP workspace hosting the galaxy will lead to an error during the creation of the archive.
-
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Even if galaxy provides you with the link in a short time, it does NOT mean the archive (.tar.gz file) is ready.
Large history (many GB) will take several minutes to prepare.
If you try to use the link in useGalaxy.ca BEFORE it is ready, the import WILL FAIL.
To test if it is ready: Copy the link in a browser to check. There will be a message saying "Still exporting.... " if the history is not ready.
Reload the page regularly, and when the download starts in your browser it means it is ready. Stop this download and proceed to the next steps below.
