Inviting (sponsoring) a user in GenAP:
GenAP gives Compute Canada sponsors (PI, Faculty, etc..) the option to invite collaborators, that cannot have a Compute Canada account, to use GenAP. Invited collaborators must abide by the same policies as all other GenAP users. However, the sponsor is liable for his or her invited collaborator's misuse of GenAP.
Usage Policy
Since the underlying infrastructure of GenAP runs on Compute Canada resources, any GenAP user has to abide by the same policies set by Compute Canada. See the Compute Canada Access Policy for more details.
In addition to these policies, GenAP users needs to respect and/or be aware of the following point:
Limitations on Data retention
The platform is meant to help your research by facilitating the sharing of tools and data throughout your research process,
and should not be used as a long term (>3 yrs) data repository or as a URL reference in your publications.
Datahubs URL addresses:
Datahubs should not be used to post your research results and data, for long term access, on your
publications. At this time, we cannot guarantee the availability of Datahubs URL addresses after December 2025.
As the GenAP project receives Ffnding and resources in the future, we will be able to extend this deadline.
